ACE Mini-Grants

The application period for the 2013-2014 academic year is currently open through April 15, 2013.

The ACE Mini-Grants Program invites qualified and officially recognized SHPE Jr, SHPE student and SHPE professional chapters to submit funding proposals to conduct educational activities with pre-college students (PK - 12th grade).

Applicants are reminded that incomplete proposals or proposals postmarked after April 15, 2013 will not be considered for peer-review. Applicants are strongly encouraged to adhere to the proposal guidelines; any deviation from such may detract from the proposal.

NOTIFICATION

Award letters and disbursements for grant recipients will be mailed in the end of September. Electronic denial notices will be sent to non-recipients by late August. In order to best serve our constituents, please refrain from contacting our office until September 1 if you have not received any notice.

ELIGIBILITY

Only officially recognized SHPE Jr, student or professional chapters may apply for grants under this program. In addition, chapters may not be delinquent in previous ACE End-of-Event Reports or returned disbursements.

This program does not fund the following:

  • TRIO, GEAR UP, Talent Search, or any program receiving federal or state funding
  • Scholarships
  • Corporate Tours
  • Unofficially recognized SHPE Jr. Chapters
  • Non-educational activities
  • Undergraduate, graduate or professional activities

DEADLINE

Proposals must be postmarked by April 15, 2013 for funding consideration for the next academic year (i.e. funding requests for 2010-11 must be postmarked by April 15, 2010).

APPLICATION

The ACE Mini-Grants: Procedures, Formats and Tips for a Successful Project is currently available for proposals for the 2013-2014 academic year. The application period is open through April 15, 2013.
