¡Ay Mija!/¡Ay Mijo! Book Series

SHPE Foundation has partnered with Award Winning Chicana literary author and historian Edna Campos Gravenhorst in the endorsement of the ¡Ay Mija!/¡Ay Mijo! book series.

A portion of the book sales goes directly to the SHPE Foundation Scholarship Endowment to support Hispanic students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math.

The 12-book series will highlight the resiliency of Latino and Latina engineers, inventors, scientists, health professionals, educators, and science community advocates.

These inspirational stories, from childhood to professional career, serve as a roadmap to success for current and future generations of young Latinos/as.  The ¡Ay Mija!/¡Ay Mijo! books have become a must-have for families, schools, community centers, parishes, libraries, universities, and organizations.
