AHETEMS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE: Postmarked by April 1.
Scholarship recipients will be notified in mid-August. In order to best serve our students, please do not contact the office until late August if you have not received notice of your application status.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Print a copy of the Scholarship Application Page, after you submit your application.
- Download the Scholarship Certification Form from the AHETEMS Web site.
- Mail the Scholarship Certification Form, Official Transcript, Resume and Letter of Recommendation to AHETEMS postmarked by April 1.
- Mail the application to:

DESCRIPTION
Merit-based scholarships awarded, in the amount of $5,000 to undergraduate students, who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be an incoming sophomore, junior or senior
- Be enrolled full-time (12 hrs undergraduate) during the academic year at an accredited university in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- Major in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Naval Architecture, or Physics
- Attend any Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or any of the following institutions: Califonia Polytechnic San Luis Obispo; California Institute of Technology; Georgia Institute of Technology; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; North Carolina State University; Ohio State University; Pennsylvania State University; Purdue University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; University of Maryland; University of Michigan; University of Southern California; University of Virginia; Virginia Polytechnic University
APPLICATION MATERIALS
The AHETEMS Scholarship application includes all of the following:
- Scholarship Certification Form
- Personal Statement (Which can be completed online as part of online application)
- Transcript
- Recommendation Letter
- Resume
DEADLINE
The applicant must submit the application materials as a single, complete package postmarked by April 1. No materials will be accepted by fax or email.
