(NLI) is a vehicle for developing within SHPE student leaders the skills necessary to lead their student chapters and for giving them the confidence to become future leaders of our community.

NLI is an intensive three day leadership conference that provides training workshops designed to enhance the leadership capabilities of Hispanic Student Leaders. Conference training includes: developing leadership techniques, problem solving, making effective presentations, efficacy, team building, time management and entering the corporate environment.

The student participants are the chapter presidents of SHPE from colleges and universities throughout the United States. Different training sites from around the nation have been selected to host NLI.
